Cheer Nationals

Our FHS Cheerleaders left for Disney World to compete in the cheer Nationals. The high school held an assembly to send them off. The first day of the competition was Friday, and the rest of the weekend they visited the parks. Their hard work has paid off because our Dragons placed 4th in the nation! Good job, ladies!

100th Day

The 100th day of school this year is on January 22nd for the FEES kids. The day will be full of games, snacks, and activities as well as special counting games for their fun day!

Student Section

The student section at Fairland High School is a great place to cheer on your FHS Basketball team and have fun while doing it. We start chants,cheers, and do everything we can to help our team to a win. Our next home basketball game is Friday the 17th where the boys play Coal Grove. Come out and join the student section to support your Fairland Dragons!

Three-day Weekend

There will be a three-day weekend because this Monday, January 20th, Fairland schools will be closed for Martin Luther King Jr. Day, which marks the civil rights leader’s 91st birthday. Dragons: have a safe and fun three-day weekend!

East Christmas Program

The children performed a Christmas program Tuesday and Wednesday, December 17 and 18, respectively. The children had a fun time dancing and singing. Both days of performances had a great turnout of students and parents.

Thanksgiving Break

This year, the Fairland School District's Thanksgiving break was from November 27 to December 1. Many students were excited for the first holiday break of the school year. Classes are now back in session with eager students already ready for Christmas break to arrive. 

Haunted Trail Wrap Up

On October 28th, Fairland High School put on a hauned house, haunted trail, and trunk-or-treat. All of the clubs participated in it. Over 300 people showed up to get scared and entertained. The kids were definitely spooked!

Ethan Lafon State

Congratulations to Ethan Lafon for qualifying for the state meet in Cross Country. Ethan placed 19th out of 125 in the Division 3 Boys Regional Meet at Pickerington North High School. Ethan's qualifying time was 17:00. He will race this Saturday in Hebron, Ohio. Fairland wishes him the best of luck!

Fall Harvest Party

Fairland East Elementary is hosting a Harvest Party on October 25th. Students will have a fun day of games, candy, and more! The kids are so excited, and it will be a blast!

Hanna Shrout Update

Hanna did a phenomenal job at the State Golf tournament and tied for third. Hanna was named 1st team All-State, and had a terrific end to her Senior year. Without a doubt, she will be missed on the Golf team next fall. Great job, Hanna! 

Hannah Shrout

Hanna Shrout, part of the Fairland High School Golf team, has started to bring her season to a close. She has achieved and accomplished many feats this year, such as currently competing in her third state tournament in a row. She is one of the greatest female golfers in Fairland history and will do great things. Congratulations, Hanna!

Middle School Homecoming Dance

FMS held a junior homecoming on Saturday, September 28. The middle school dance was very exciting for all of the middle schoolers to get a chance to dress up, dance, and have a good time. The students all said they had a lot of fun dancing to good music and hanging out with their friends. Now, they are even more excited for their future high school homecomings!

Middle School Sports Sept. 2-6

Last Thursday, the Fairland Middle School football team lost 42-36 to the Raceland Rams. The FMS Volleyball team lost on Monday, September 2nd to the Pointers and on Wednesday, September 4th lost to the Ironton Tigers. Our young Dragons are working towards a great season!

Teddy Bear Olympics

The Teddy Bear Olympics is an event held by Fairland East for kindergarteners. Each student has the ability to bring in a stuffed animal of their choice to use while participating in relay events. It is a fantastic way for kids to get exercise, all while having fun!
 

Back to School

The new school year started August 14th for students of the Fairland District. Both teachers and students are jumping back into work. We are looking forward to a great year and memories to last a lifetime!
