Back to School 2023
Dear Families,
It's that time again! I'm sure we're all really excited! Here are a few things I would like you to know.
*We will be having Back to School Night Monday, August 14th from 5:00- 7:00.
*The first day of school will be Thursday, August 17th.
*The children will need to bring a water bottle each day. If necessary, it can be refilled at school.
*Every afternoon I will give the children a snack time. Please send a nutritious snack with your child each day.
*Please make sure I have an email address for you and a phone number.
You should expect to see a graded spelling test each Friday. Also, in the green take home folder will be the following week's homework sheet, spelling list, and vocabulary study sheet. Although we will be doing assignments throughout the week, your child will need to study the spelling and vocabulary words nightly. We will have a spelling test each Friday.

Mrs. Clark's Supply List
- Plastic pencil box (Regular size, snap shut)
- 3 dozen #2 black lead sharpened pencils with erasers (Ticonderoga are best)
- 2 large pink pearl erasers
- 6 red ink pens
- Crayons (Box of 24 or more)
- Colored pencils
- Elmer’s white school glue or glue sticks
- Safety scissors (blunt or rounded end)
- 1 yellow highlighter
- 1 GREEN, PLASTIC pronged folder with pockets
- 1 RED, PLASTIC folder with pockets
- 2 sturdy folders (any design/color)
- 2 large boxes of tissues
- 1 package of antibacterial wipes or baby wipes
- Small pencil sharpener- not electric or battery operated
- Backpack (regular size, no wheels)
- Water bottle
What is needed to be kept at home to complete homework:
- Pencils
- Eraser
- Crayons (box of 24)
- Inch/ centimeter ruler
School supplies are so much cheaper before school starts or at the beginning of the school year. You may want to stock up to have plenty to last the whole year.
Extra Items our class could use:
- Smarties, starbursts, or any individually wrapped candy
