Senior Information:

  • FHS Seniors are permitted 2 college visit days.  Parents must notify the office by telephone the day of the college visit.  To be EXCUSED, you must turn in the university/college excuse to the office within 3 days of returning to school.
     
  • To request transcripts to be sent to an admissions office email Mrs. Marshall @ [email protected] include the following information:

  • Scholarships mailed or emailed to the school will be forwarded to seniors via email.
     
  • If you would like to receive updated notifications and reminders by email……please email Mrs. Marshall your email address and your parent/guardians email address.
     
  • To request “Letters of Recommendation”—see Mrs. Marshall for request form.

Important Senior Dates:

  • Graduation Information Order Forms: September 13, 2023 Representative from Herff Jones will be at Collins Career Center to provide information about graduation orders (cap/gown, announcements etc) to students attending CCC and return on September 20, 2023 during lunches for CCC students to place orders.
     
  • Homecoming:  October 7, 2023  8:00pm-11:00pm
     
  • Graduation Information Order Forms: October 24, 2023 Representative from Herff Jones will be at Fairland High School to provide information about graduation orders (cap/gown, announcements etc) to students attending FHS and return on November 6, 2023  from 4:30pm-6:30pm  during Parent-Teacher Conferences for students to place orders. 
     
  • Senior Pictures for the Fairland Yearbook and Senior Composite will be taken on
     November 7, 2023 9:00am-1:00pm and November 8, 2023 1:00pm-5:00pm.  
     Pictures will be taken at no charge to the students in Room 150.  
  • Senior Salute: Senior Salute applications will be available Monday, November 20, 2023.
     
  • FAFSA: December Date/Time: TBD    Jacki Adkins from Ohio University will do a completion workshop with seniors and parents “Financial Aid." FAFSA—Free Application for Federal Student Aid: This is a government form for all types of financial aid including student loans and scholarships.  All seniors and parents are encouraged to attend to receive help completing the FAFSA.  All students should fill out the FAFSA even if you do not think you will qualify…you might be surprised!   Go to https://studentaid.gov/h/apply-for-aid/fafsa for more information.  (More detailed information will be emailed to seniors prior to the meeting).

  • Senior Picture Re-take Day:  Senior Picture Re-take day December 1, 2023 Time: TBD
     
  • Senior Salute: Completed Senior Salute applications are due Friday, December 15, 2023 by 3:00pm.
     
  • Local Scholarships:  Local donors in the community give scholarships to Fairland students only.  Applications will be available on March 1, 2024.
     
  • Completed Local Scholarship Applications: Completed Local Scholarship Applications due back to Mrs. Marshall by March 22, 2024 by 3:00pm.
     
  • Prom April 27, 2024 8:00pm-11:00pm
     
  • Final Transcript Request:  Request Final transcript to be sent to college/university of your choice.  See Mrs. Marshall the week of May 6th-10th to make a request.
     
  • Cap and Gown Pick Up and Mandatory Senior Meeting: May 10, 2024 @ 2:00  Room 153  (Pick up Caps & Gowns).
     
  • CCC Completion Ceremony: Date and Time TBA (More specific information will be given).
     
  • Seniors Last Day May 20, 2024. Fees and any obligations must be taken care of by this date.
     
  • Senior Breakfast May 20, 2024 @ 8:30am
     
  • Mandatory Graduation Practice May 20, 2024 @ 9:30am
     
  • Class Night May 21, 2024 @ 6:00pm (more specific information will be given)
     
  • Graduation May 24, 2024 @ 7:00pm (more specific information will be given)
     
  • CCP College Transcripts: Students who participated in College Credit Plus are responsible for requesting their college transcript from the institution issuing the College Credit Plus credit.  FHS is NOT able to request transcripts on behalf of the student.
      
  • Advanced Placement:  Students who earned passing scores on Advanced Placement Exams are responsible for requesting their scores from College Board.  FHS is NOT able to request scores to be sent on behalf of the student.
