School Lunch Program - Free for All Students

October 16, 2020 President Trump proclaimed this week National School Lunch Week, highlighting the vital role of school nutrition professionals in ensuring that children in all communities nationwide continue to get nutritious meals, despite the challenges posed by the current public health emergency. To keep this work going, U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Secretary Sonny Perdue recently announced that all children will receive free meals.  You do not need to do anything to get started.   The status of your child’s account has been changed to not charge for meals.  However, any additional items or ala carte items are not included.

Students wanting a bagged lunch need to answer the lunch question each morning by 8:15am.

Return to School Fall 2020 updated reopening plan

September 28, 2020

Dear Fairland family,

The plan has been updated to reflect the changes issued by the Ohio Department of Health related to face masks.

By clicking the link you will be able to view our  Please understand that our plan will continue to evolve as new information and recommendations are issued by federal, state and local agencies. With our ever-changing environment we expect that the protocols and guidelines implemented will change as the local conditions change and sometimes at a moments notice.

We take our responsibilities to our students very seriously, and we will continue to monitor COVID-19 with health officials, implement revised safety protocols as needed, and provide updates to our families when we have them.

As we transition back to school next month, we are asking for your help in keeping our buildings as healthy as we can by following our district’s guidelines, encouraging your child to always wear a face covering as outlined in the reopening plan, pledging to report your child’s illness, and keeping your child at home when necessary.
