Change in Mask Policy Effective 9/15/21

Change to Mask Policy Effective Sep 15, 2021

Our district will utilize the CDC "Levels of Community Transmission" to determine when facial coverings are required and when they are strongly recommended "optional."

During designated HIGH (Red) levels of community transmission, all students, staff and visitors will be required to wear a mask while indoors.  Our county is currently in the red so beginning Wednesday, Sept. 15, 2021 masks will be required in the classroom setting.

When the level of community transmission drops to the substantial (Orange) or moderate (Yellow) designations, facial coverings will be strongly recommended, but not required while indoors for all students, staff and visitors.

The CDC Levels of Community Transmission can be monitored at https://covid.cdc.gov/covid-data-tracker/#county-view|Ohio|39087|Risk|community_transmission_level

Back to School Message

Dear Fairland Family,

I want to thank you for your continued support of our district, and look forward to the start of a new school year. We are very proud of the work we do and we believe that educating our children is one of the most important jobs in the world and we take it very seriously.

As we return to school this fall, we recognize the threat of the COVID-19 virus to our school community. We will adopt an approach which is vigilant to ensure the safety and well being of students, staff, and community. Our district will work closely with the Lawrence County Health Department and follow CDC guidelines to promote the health and safety of all students and staff in the Fairland Local School district.
