Always Proud to Be a Dragon!

Fairland Family,

While the outcome of the levy is not what I had hoped, I want each of you to know that my commitment to our district and to all of you remains as strong as ever. This district means the world to me, and I will continue to fight for a better future, supporting our students, faculty, staff and community.

The financial forecast we face is challenging and the funding formula will not change. This means we’ll have to continue to accomplish great things with very limited resources, something we have already proven we can do. We will see change over the next few years because of funding, but our resilience and dedication have enabled us to achieve remarkable results, and I am convinced that, together, there is nothing we can’t accomplish for our students.

It may feel as though our community’s support for great schools and exceptional educators has fallen short. I understand the disappointment this brings, and I want you to know that there is nothing I won’t do to lift you up and champion the incredible work you do every day.

Our students deserve the best, and together, we have continually shown resilience, creativity, and dedication, regardless of obstacles. Let's support each other and be committed to finding every possible way to keep moving forward with a positive attittude.

Thank you for your hard work, dedication, and unity. I am, as always, IMMENSELY proud to be a Dragon!

Sincerely,

Roni Hayes

To the students, staff, and families of South Point Local School District:

To the students, staff, and families of South Point Local School District:

As you return to school this later week we want you to know that Fairland Local Schools stands with you and supports your efforts. We know it will not be easy.  The recent incident, in which your principal was harmed and your students were placed in harm’s way, has deeply affected us all. When the safety of one student or staff member is compromised, it impacts every one of us.

In our communities, we may be competitors on the field or court, but our commitment to the safety, well-being, and growth of our students transcends any rivalry. We are all part of one team when it comes to protecting our students and staff.

We know that this is not a typical return to school, and we recognize that the sense of normalcy you once knew may feel forever changed, but what has not changed is your unwavering dedication to your students.  As you navigate this challenging time, please know that you have our heartfelt support during this challenging time.

Sincerely,

Roni Hayes on behalf of the FLSD: students, staff and families

Our schools are more than just places of learning; they are avenues of creativity, growth, and community spirit. From the achievements of our students in academics, sports, and the arts, to the efforts of our teachers and support staff, there is so much to celebrate. We are continuing to build a bright future for our community, and our schools are at the heart of it all.
