The Fairland Football team is preparing for a huge game this week against Portsmouth. This

game has huge playoff and OVC implications. The Fairland students and supporters will be

participating in a “White out.” Good luck to the Football team.

Fairland lost to Gallia 3 sets to 1 Wednesday October 5th.Gallia won set 1 25-15, set 2 25-17, and set 4 25-20. Fairlands only set win was set 3 where they won 25-15. That was the first set Gallia has lost to an OVC team in 5 years.

Girls Soccer 

The girls soccer team had their senior night on October 5th.  There are 8 seniors on the Fairland girls soccer team. The girls beat Gallia 3-2 and Kali Hall, Olivia White and Maddie Miller scored. All the seniors started in the game on Tuesday. Parents walked their graduating seniors down the field and players got gifts from their coaches, parents, and teammates.

Boys Soccer

The boys played Chesapeake September 28, 2021. The Dragons got their revenge beating Chesapeake 3-2. Evan Williams led the Dragons with 2 goals and Sam Miller had 1 goal. Jamison Lauder had 18 saves. The dragons are on a 3 game win streak and are on track to get a good seed in the playoffs.

Girls soccer game vs. Gallia

    On Tuesday September 7th, 2021, the Fairland Varsity soccer team played Gallia Academy. The game ended with a tie. The final score ended at 3-3 with Joelie Jarrell (freshman) scoring a goal with 34 seconds left to go.

New Covid Rules

    We have now had many kids quarantined because of either no vaccine and/or mask. As of 9/15/21, Fairland Local Schools are now mandating masks once again, even if the kids are vaccinated. Therefore wear your masks and stay safe dragons!

Girls Volleyball Game vs. Rockhill

 On Thursday September 2nd, 2021, the Fairland Varsity Volleyball team played a home match against Rockhill. Alyssa Burcham had a total of 12 kills and Brooklin Lovejoy had a total of 11 kills. The team won the match finishing at an outstanding 3-0.

Girls Soccer Game VS. Rockhill

The girls soccer game vs. rock hill was a very intense game. We played at Rockhill. The Starters of the game were Olivia White, Maddie Miller, Kamryn Barnitz, Joelie Jarrell, Kylie Hayes, Jessica King, and Angelia Li. The game was very physical resulting in Maddy Rummel and Lexi Steele getting injured. It was overall a really good game but unfortunately we lost 4-1.

Boys Soccer vs. Gallia

The Fairland boys soccer team took a hard loss against Gallia. The score was 5-0 which gave Fairland their fourth loss of the season. Sam Miller had the only shot on goal for Fairland. This game was played on September 7th, 2021.

Fairland Golf team

On September 9th, 2021, the Fairland Golf team traveled to Portsmouth for a match. Landon Roberts was the low man shooting for a 40. The Dragons were victorious, coming out on the top and winning for Fairland Highschool.


Fairland Football

On Friday October 22, 2021 the Fairland Dragons played against their arch rivals the Chesapeake Panthers.The game started off slow for the Dragons. After the first quarter though, the Dragons got on a roll. Freshman Kam Kitts scored 3 touchdowns en route to the 42-0 win over the Panthers. Kam Kitts also made the play of the night in the second quarter when he made a spectacular diving catch on his back to score the Dragons 2nd score of the game. The 2nd seed Dragons will host the 15th seed Buckeye Trail this Saturday to start off the Dragons playoff run. -Alex Morgan

Boys Soccer

The boys soccer team finished off their season with a great battle against Lucasville. The final score was 2-0. They finished a great season out with a record of 7-10. Great job Dragons! -Ben Southard

Girls Soccer 

The ladies of Fairland High School soccer played a playoff game in Minford on Wednesday, October 20th. This finalized all games for the Lady Dragons, as they suffered a loss of 0-1. On a brighter side, the ladies had an overall great season, with 11 wins, 6 losses, and 1 tie. While we are sad to lose the seniors, next year can be a come-back year for ladies soccer and we can’t wait to see them back out on the field. Go dragons! - Isabella Garrido
