January Service Project

Update: FHS raised over $500 to support Child Proctection Services! FHS Student Council went shopping at Gabes, and donated over 50 bags of clothing items! Thank you to everyone who donated and volunteered!

The FHS Student Council is starting the year with a project for Child Services. They are collecting boy's clothing (toddler to 12 years), girl's clothing (ages 6 to 12), and coats and jackets for both boys and girls. Child Services will also be accepting various sizes of diapers, wipes, ointments, cinch bags, and backpacks. Students can bring in these items throughout the month of January.

FHS Blood Drive

The FHS blood drive will be held on February 12th. If you would like to join in on giving blood, you must sign up in the office or ask Mrs.Sansom for more details. Blood donations can help save lives! You must be atleast 16 or older to donate.

Canned Food Drive

Student Council is putting on a canned food drive! Each grade that brings 250 cans will recieve cookies on the last day before Christmas break! This food drive is not limited to cans, students can bring in mac and cheese, Hamburger Helper, and anything that is non perishable. All cans will be donated to Rome Church of Christ food bank. They will send the proceeds where they are needed.

Senior Class Project for October

The Senior Class is hosting a glove, scarf, and hat drive for the month of October. This drive helps under privileged people be able to have warm clothes to wear in the winter. These items will go to the Huntington City Mission. The last day to Bring in items is October 19th. To donate, contact the school, ask a student council member, or see Mrs. Sansom. The Seniors are excited for this project and can't wait to get these items collected!
 

Senior Class Project for the month of September

The Senior Class Project for the month of September is "Honoring our First Responders." The Senior Class wrote letters to our first responders, thanking them for their hardwork and dedication. Cookies, brownies, posters, and letters were given to the Rome Fire Department, Proctorville Fire Department, the VFW, and the Proctorville Police Department on Patriot Day. The Seniors, along with the entire school district, greatly appricate their service to the community.

School Supply Drive

For the first project of the 2018-2019 school year, the Student Council collected items for a school supply drive. The supply drive benefited children in need at Fairland East, West, and Middle Schools. Students from each grade brought in items such as markers, crayons, folders, paper, notebooks, binders, and backpacks. In total, all four grades brought in over 300 items!
