The Dragon Wrestling Team had a great season! The Dragons were missing a few at the end of the season for a variety of reasons. Three Dragons were OVC Champions. The team had 5 wrestlers at Sectionals who all went on to become District Qualifiers. From the Districts we had one Dragon left standing to represent Fairland at the Ohio State Wrestling Match - CJ Graham! He came up through our youth program and has wrestled locally and around the country in open tournaments. CJ had over 100 wins in middle school and transferred those to 44 wins as a freshman. He is on track to break the school record in wins in amazing fashion. He had a great District Match, losing in the finals to a State Qualifier from the year before. CJ won his first match at the state meet then lost a close match to the predicted State Champion. The Dragons had a great year with two wrestlers over 40 wins (CJ and Will Callicoat.) Five District Qualifiers (school record) and three OVC Champions. The District qualifiers were all freshman and sophomores. The future is bright with those young wrestlers especially with a State Qualifier leading the pack!
