Remote Learners 2nd 9-weeks

Help for parents is located on the Fairland Local Schools webpage.

Dear Fairland Middle School Parents-

During this time of social distancing and virtual learning, we want to ensure that our Fairland Middle School students continue to have access to high-quality curriculum and assignments.  We plan to deliver virtual learning instruction through Google Classroom. Please take a moment to review our plan with your child.

What you can expect from the Fairland Middle School Teachers:

  • Students will receive instruction through Google Classroom. Fairland Middle School teachers will directly provide this instruction.

  • Students should login each school day for attendance purposes.

  • Teachers will post relevant supplemental materials to support students with instructional delivery of content.  This may include, but is not limited to: PowerPoint presentations, YouTube videos, online educational vendors, Apex, No Red Ink, IXL, Moby Max, google docs, etc.

  • Teachers will be available to respond to student emails from 7:30 am to 3:00 pm each school day, regarding questions about assignments and instructional material.

Fairland Middle School Student Expectations:

  • Students should check email on a daily basis.

  • Students should check each of their Google Classrooms, on a daily basis, to check for assignments and instructions from teachers.

  • Students should complete all required assignments and submit these as directed by the teacher.

  • Students should email teachers if any questions arise.

  • Students should check each class on a daily basis for attendance purposes.

How can parents help?

  • Verify that your child is logging in and checking their Google Classroom on a daily basis.

  • Ensure that all required assignments are finished and submitted to their teacher in a timely manner.

  • Email Mr. Lewis & Mr. Dillon with the parent contact information.  (See back of this letter)

  • Encourage your child to contact their teacher for help or questions concerning the class.
