Senior of the week

Kassandra Metzger is a 17 year old senior. Her favorite subject is Art and she dislikes English. Kassandra likes to spend her free time painting, organizing, making music, and drawing. She is a member of Band and the Marching Band which, according to Kassandra, are both very fun. Plus, she is involved in the theater arts and vocals, which she also loves. She has been in school plays such as Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and Thoroughly Modern Millie.

Junior of the week

Macenzie Simmons, a Junior this year at FHS, is 16 years old and is a hard-working, dedicated student. She participates in both the school band and marching band, and plays the flute. Macenzie is close friends with Mason Fannin, Hanna Shrout, and Xavier Veltri, who are all Juniors as well. She enjoys listening to music from Lana del Ray, Stevie Nicks, and other artists. She loves taking trips to King's Island and Disney World, which are even more fun in her yellow Volkswagen Beetle.

Sophomore student of the week

Fairland High School rewards sophomore of the week to Anthony Picklesimer. Anthony excells in the classroom. He is loved by many people and always has something nice to say. We all hope he has an incredible sophomore year!

Freshman of the week

Ethan Blatt was chosen for freshman student of the week. He participates in FHS band and he likes to help out with community needs. Also, he has loved playing music for a long time. During his free time, he enjoys hiking, running, and photographing. He likes to read books and write short stories to occupy his time as well. He plays video games with his friends when he is not studying or playing music.
