Reading
We
will learn the letter sound for long Ee. We will finish our reading unit called Rules We Follow. We will read Family Rules, That’s Not Fair & Friday Trouble.

We
will continue Drops in the Bucket Math. We will also finish Chapter 10 on positional words.
High Frequency Words
Please practice all high
frequency words daily.
Writing
We will begin journal writing. We will continue to work blending words,
spacing between words, using punctuation correctly and writing complete
sentences.
We
will also write about Stranger Danger in writing group.
Dictation
Our
dictation will consist of 7 sounds, 5 words and a sentence.

Frogs
We will begin a unit on
frogs and learn about their life cycle. We will sing songs, read books, make art projects.
Books for Ribbons
Friday-May 1st will be
the last day to receive ribbons for reading books.
*The kids have been doing a wonderful job reading
books.

continue to practice reading books throughout the summer.
Science
We will begin reading books to learn about seed and how plants grow. The kids will plant their own seeds to watch them grow in our classroom. In a few weeks, the kids will plant their own bean and sunflower seeds so they can compare them as they grow and change. The children will keep a plant journal to record their plant’s growth.
